Based out of the Memorial Hall (Slyne-with-Hest), this volunteer group has enjoyed another successful year. Clothes, toys & blankets have been handmade and dispatched to those taking care of abandoned, orphaned and children in need of support overseas & locally.
We personally carefully track the donations that are given to ensure that everyone’s hard work reaches its intended destination.
There are many volunteers who work from home, who are not able to join us in our workshop, & who are vital to the efficient working of Buttons & Bows.
Children from many countries benefit from the gifts sent to:
Albania, Czech Republic, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Ethiopia, Gambia, Malawi, Ukraine, Zambia & locally.
All the members work voluntarily and “Make to Give”.
We would like to thank the community for their donations of soft cotton material & wool used to create the items. Tuesday 4th June will be our last workshop this term, the group will resume on October 1st at the Memorial Hall, Slyne-with-Hest.
At 1-30 until 3-30pm.
