We are a group of ladies who make to give
We sew, knit and crochet clothes to send to abandoned babies and children in need
throughout Africa, Europe and locally. These gifts are given and tracked so we know they arrive at the correct destination.
We have a work group that meet once a month in term time 1.30 to 3.30 pm
Venue: Memorial Hall, Slyne-with-Hest, The Main Hall (There is a bus stop outside the door)
These clothes, toys and blankets are sent to charities that work with abandoned babies or groups in Africa, Europe and locally. One of our group is going out to Romania to take clothes to four groups in Iasi. Recently ‘Buttons and Bows’ clothes were sent out to Ukraine and Zambia.
Now the dark nights are here perhaps you may be thinking ‘what could I do?” You would always be made welcome at our group and enjoy making something to give.
Our group meet at 1-30 pm until 3-30 pm at The Memorial Hall, Slyne-with-Hest. The next workshop is 6th November.
If you would like to view what we make, call in and have a cup of tea with us
Our ladies are always willing to teach others their skills
